About Misti
I am a clinically trained psychotherapist and mental health consultant with over 20 years of experience in the industry. In addition to maintaining a thriving private practice in Atlanta, GA, I offer mental health and substance use subject-matter expertise and technical assistance for organizations and companies to develop new products and deliver trainings.
Driven by a love for technology and psychology, I’m dedicated to advancing the therapy experience through thoughtful, tech-enabled solutions. I believe in harnessing the best of the tech world to make mental health care more intuitive, impactful, and widely available.
Prior to my private practice, I worked for over ten years at NAADAC, The Association for Addiction Professionals, which is the national organization that represents, educates, and certifies addiction-focused counselors and professionals. I served as the Director of Training and Professional Development at NAADAC where I developed educational programs on evidence-based counseling skills, cutting-edge research, and standards of practice for addiction counselors. I have written numerous articles, book chapters, national curriculums, and training manuals, including the Basics of Addiction Counseling: Desk Reference and Study Guide and a chapter in the Casebook on Counseling Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Persons and Their Families.
